The 3rd Annual Get Mike Down campaign ran Feb. 1-7 in Farmington, NM. During this time, Dr. Michael Hattabaugh, Director of National Day of Care, lived on the roof of Treadworks in order to raise funds and awareness that there are millions of children who need a roof over their heads. So far $45,000 has been pledged and we need your help to reach a very special goal of $60,000 to put the roof on 3 orphanages in 3 severely challenged countries.
The first orphanage is called No More Tears Children's Home in Sierra Leone, Africa; The second is Children's Hope Chest in Swaziland; the third is an orphanage in Sudan (near Darfur). These 3 countries are at the epicenter of war and dire economic straits. It is imperative we raise this money to get real shelter over these Children. A roof costs approximately $20,000. So we really need to reach our goal completely this year. We have 2 more projects in Kenya and Uganda if we exceed our goal.
Thank you for joining us to change the life of these children. We appreciate your gifts and prayers.
We are receiving funds online, by phone, and through the mail. Please contact us at hope@nationaldayofcare.org or call us at 1 (800) 220-8776 if you have any questions or would like to
